PM10 Particulates.
Particulates consist of both liquids and solids and comprise of matter like soot, ash fog, fumes etc.
PM10 is defined as small particulate matter. It is less than 10 microns in size and this stuff is really nasty as it cant be filtered by the nose or lungs and penetrates deep into the lungs.
The primary emitter of particulate matter in the UK is motorised.
As it is a lung irritant, there are 3 million UK asthma sufferers who really don't like particulates.
